BACKGROUND: How has your ISO50001 Energy Management System done so far? Or are you planning to adopt ISO50001 Energy Management Standard at your organisation? ISO 50001 is unique among ISO MSSs in that continual improvement has a dual focus: the management system itself, as well as energy performance.” Adopting the ISO50001 standard makes business sense, with predicted energy savings of 5 to 30% and reduction in CO₂ missions. Many organisations see ISO 50001 as a trategic tool towards a sustainable energy future, making the standard an integral part of their energy policies. ISO 50001 offers organizations a framework to integrate energy efficiency into their daily perations. Its guidance can be used to secure resources for business continuity and resilience, adapt to change, and be ready for volatile energy prices and unconventional and intermittent energy resources. PROGRAM OBJECTIVE: • Explain step by step process on how to make the ISO50001 Standard more practical and suitable to the company with less of documentation, enabling you to understand optimum detail in the documentation, be flexible in adoption of standard, develop effective communication and motivate. • Describe fundamental terminology of ISO 50001 standard like energy policy, energy performance indicators, energy objectives & targets, creation of energy team with their roles & responsibilities, creation of energy policy with defined scope and boundaries etc. • Impart working knowledge to the participants in regards to EnMS through proven mechanism on how these requirements can be interpreted to suit the organization’s requirements.
